ASU cuts ribbon on new football field
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University (ASU) cut the ribbon on their brand new football field this weekend.
Thanks to the Arthur M. Blank Foundation, Albany State is one of four HBCU’s to get brand-new turf and a renewed stadium.
What sets this field apart is it’s all-Blue and Gold turf, joining a select group of 12 schools with non-traditional colors.
ASU Athletic Director Dr. Kristine Kelly says the new turf will positively affect the community’s health and wellness for years to come, offering a state-of-the-art facility for youth programs, local sports leagues, and fitness events.
