Manhunt underway for attempted burglary suspect in Cook Co.

ADEL, Ga. – On September 4th, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Cook County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 5292 Futch Road, in the southwestern part of the county, reporting that an unknown person had entered that residence through the back door while the occupant was home. The complainant stated once confronted the subject ran from the residence into the wood line behind the home.

Responding deputies set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspect using K-9 tracking dogs.

The suspect was described as a black male, bald, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 240-250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

Citizens in the area are asked to be vigilant and lock their doors and vehicles. If they see someone matching this description please call 911 immediately.
