Wee-Kare Daycare & Preschool Pre-K success story

ALBANY, Ga. – In a time where affordable child care is more crucial than ever, a special program is making a difference by extending a lifeline to parents.

Wee-Kare Daycare & Preschool offers a free program for children who are Georgia residents and will turn four years old by September 1st of this year.

One parent in particular can wholeheartedly attest to the warm and nurturing atmosphere that Wee-Kare provides.

“So, I heard about the program, “Bright from the Start.” It’s a website. You can go on and you can look at different daycares. You can see their ratings, their reviews. And, Wee-Kare had the best ratings that I saw, especially in this area,” said Charlene Dunlap, esthetician, makeup artist.

Meet Charlene Dunlap and her son, Jaxon Wright. Jaxon graduated from Wee-Kare Preschool in may and is now thriving in Kindergarten. He was even featured on a billboard for the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Charlene Dunlap shares how Wee-Kare provided an exceptional experience for Jaxon, setting the foundation for his current success.

“So, Wee-Kare has been the best decision that I made as far as Pre-K. We looked around at maybe four or five different programs. Jaxon has severe sensorineural hearing loss. I call them his super hearing powers. The deciding vote for me was when Miss Kim and Miss Jen called the day that we actually toured the building and she called later on the evening and was like “hey, do you mind if I read certain books of the class?” And, it was a book called “Gracie’s Ears.” Being able to get the other kids to engage with the book and understand the fact that he has hearing aids and know what they’re for instead of, you know, kind of peeking at them and point in and trying to figure out, “What is that in his ears?” for him to be able to go on different field trips to, you know, see different animals, go pick strawberries, that was one thing that I’m really big on because I want him to see the world,” said Dunlap.

She strongly recommends Wee-Kare as an excellent choice for parent seeking quality early education for their children.

“I would definitely recommend this daycare to families. I have sent the phone number, I want to say, to a couple of friends of mine already, but they work so well with Jaxon and he is prepared. He went to Kindergarten. He didn’t have any issues. He’s, you know, pretty advanced. I mean, he’s right on target or above where he needs to be,” said Dunlap.

If you’re have any questions about their services, you can reach Wee-Kare at (229) 889-1010. They are located at 103 Spanish Court in Albany.
