Albany Police Department Traffic Unit investigates pedestrian fatality
ALBANY, Ga. – At 5:22 a.m. Thursday morning, the Albany Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on the 1500 Block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard.
41-year-old Pamela Murrell was walking southbound when she was struck by a westbound silver pickup truck. She was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in critical condition, but later succumbed to her injuries.
The incident is under investigation, and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
