Cordele Police investigate multiple robbery incidents

CORDELE, Ga. – The Cordele Police Department is investigating multiple robbery incidents that occurred this month.

On July 9th, around 9:30 pm, Cordele Police officers responded to an attempted robbery at Family Dollar on 704 North 7th Street. A black male reportedly tried to rob employees as they closed for the night, but the attempt failed. No one was injured.

On July 13th, at approximately 2:00 pm, officers were called to an armed robbery at Party Shoppe on 204 West 24th Avenue, Apartment B. Two black males entered, brandished guns, and stole money from the cash registers before fleeing on foot.

On July 14th, at 3:00 pm, officers responded to an armed robbery at In and Out at 306 South 7th Street. A black male entered, threatened employees with a gun, took money from the register, and left the scene.

Detectives have a photo of a 90’s Model Buick that may have been used in two of these robberies, noted for missing black trim on the driver’s side door. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in these incidents.
