Two arrested for trafficking and illegal possession of drugs in Adel
ADEL, Ga. – On Friday, July 6th, the GBI, FBI, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Hahira Police Department, and Georgia State Patrol (GSP) arrested 28-year-old Shyiem Banks and 36-year-old Roderick Collins following an investigation into a drug trafficking case in Adel.
On June 28th, a search warrant was issued for the home of Banks and Collins. After an investigation, officers seized 210 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3.2 pounds of suspected marijuana, 13 grams of suspected alpha-PVP, over 90 suspected oxycodone tablets, and 2 firearms inside the home.
Banks faces charges including three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Collins has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Both men were taken to the Cook County Jail after they were arrested.
