Former Miss Donalsonville, Trinity Poague faces 6-count indictment in connection with death of 18-month-old infant
AMERICUS, Ga. – Former Miss Donalsonville, Trinity Poague, is now facing a 6-count indictment connected to the murder of her boyfriend’s child.
On January 14th, 18-month-old Jaxton Dru, also known as Romeo Angeles, was found unresponsive inside a dorm room at Georgia Southwestern State University’s campus.
When the child’s father returned, he transported him to the local hospital where the child later died.
In February, Poague was granted a $75,000 bond, but she was not ordered to be on house arrest. She was ordered to wear an ankle monitor, but could leave Americus.
Poague is charged with malice murder, 2 counts of felony murder, 2 counts of aggravated battery, and cruelty to children in the first degree.
The case is still being investigated by the GBI.
