Dogs Test Positive for Canine Parvovirus at Albany Humane Society
ALBANY, Ga. – As of June 3, 2024, the Albany Humane Society released that two dogs have tested positive for canine parvovirus in their shelter. Currently, the shelter is on a two-week quarantine; during this process, employees will disinfect their shelter and monitor other animals to try to prevent the virus from spreading any further. If no other animals show any symptoms of the virus, the shelter will be open for intake of animals on June 17, 2024.
