GBI requested by Bainbridge Public Safety to investigate elder exploitation

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. – On March 21st, Bainbridge Public Safety called on the GBI for help in investigating multiple complaints regarding “Johnson’s Personal Care Home” and “Johnson’s Private Care Home” on Hall Street in Bainbridge.

46-year-old Lashonda Johnson, associated with these homes, was identified during the investigation.

The investigation alleges that Johnson unlawfully used the finances of some residents. Johnson faces ten counts of financial transaction fraud and two counts of exploitation.
