ARC of Southwest Georgia now hiring teachers and teacher aides for Child Development Center

ALBANY, Ga. – The ARC of Southwest Georgia is looking to expand its dedicated team… aiming to enhance its impactful services across the region.

The company is recruiting to advance its mission in supporting individuals with disabilities in living independently and becoming active, contributing members of their community.

Deanna Julian, executive director of the ARC of Southwest Georgia, provides more information on the available positions.

“So, we have our direct support professionals. That is a very flexible schedule between days, nights, weekends, you support the individuals to live independently in their own homes and do things such as grocery shopping, take them a doctor’s appointments, some daily living tasks, as well as help them achieve their goals and dreams. If they want to go to school, if they want to get their driver’s license, that they want to go on vacation and just live as independently as possible in the community. So, that support system, as well as case managers who kind of oversee our direct support professionals and help manage and make sure all of those things are being taken care of. We also have nurses and LPNs that go into the homes to make sure individuals health and wellness is being addressed and that they are addressing a holistic health approach,” said Deanna Julian, Executive Director, ARC of Southwest Georgia.

The ARC is also looking for teachers and teacher aides for its Child Development Center, aligning with the CDC graduation for children transitioning to mainstream education.

Deanna Julian outlines the salary and benefits for these positions.
