Former Tift County High School Principal arrested again, released on bond

TIFTON, Ga. – Former Tift County High School Principal Dr. Chad Stone was arrested again in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 15th.

He was released on bond nearly two hours later.

Dr. Stone is now confronted with a total of seven charges, comprising of three counts of unauthorized use of a financial transaction card, three counts of false statements or writings, and one count of theft by deception. These charges stem from offenses dating back to 2022 and 2023.

This arrest follows his previous arrest in February, on five counts of unauthorized use of a financial transaction card and one count of theft by taking.
