Lee Co. Sheriff’s Office arrests Little Caesars shooting suspect, makes first court appearance

LEESBURG, Ga. – On Friday, at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection with the death of 50-year-old Joseph Dorminey at the Little Caesars located at U.S. Highway 19 North in Leesburg.

First responders found Dorminey suffering from gunshot wounds, and took Dorminey to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, where he later died.

After an investigation, the sheriff’s office arrested 28-year-old Daquan Divonte Harris. Harris was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault, and he has been transported to and booked at the Lee County Jail.
