Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, Commissioner and Mayor pro tem Langstaff makes proclamation for National Small Business Week

ALBANY, Ga. – Small businesses are the backbone in any community and the city of Albany is no different.

The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce held a proclamation late Tuesday afternoon to officially kick off small business week in the city.

Commissioner and mayor pro-tem, Bob Langstaff, met with city employees as well as a few local business owners.

We caught up with Commissioner Langstaff following the proclamation about supporting local businesses.

“It’s critical to Albany, just as it is to communities across the country; to support small business…We’ve added more small businesses in the last year than we’ve had here in a very long time,” said Commissioner Bob Langstaff, Mayor pro-tem, City of Albany.

The goal of small business week is for the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and the city to encourage the public to shop locally.
