1 man dead in semi-truck crash in Dougherty Co.
ALBANY, Ga. – Around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night, a crash happened at the intersection of Habersham Road and West Oakridge Drive that left one man dead.
Hardrick Ford, 58-year-old, was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler.
Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said Ford, the passenger in the Chevy Malibu, was traveling east on Oakridge Drive and stopped at the intersection with Habersham Road. Ford failed to yield while turning left and turned into the path of a semi-truck. The semi-truck struck the Malibu on the passenger side door.
Ford’s body will be sent to a regional crime lab for an autopsy.
GSP is still investigating the crash.
