Two stolen handguns, firearms, marijuana recovered in search warrant at Medowlark Commons apartment by Albany-Dougherty S.I.U.
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany-Dougherty S.I.U. (Special Investigative Unit) executed a search warrant at 2368 Meadowlark Commons Ct Apt 101 on 02/22/2024 in reference to drug sales.
Two handguns that were recovered from the location were reported stolen, one was reported stolen from Phoenix City, Alabama and the other from Albany, Ga. The handgun stolen from Phoenix City, Alabama had been altered with a “Switch” which turned the handgun into a fully automatic handgun.
During the execution of the search warrant the following items were recovered:
- Approximately 381.9 grams of Marijuana
- 5 Firearms (3 Handguns and 2 Rifles / 2 of the handguns were reported Stolen))
- 2 Digital Scales and Flip & Fold Sandwich Bags
- $2,768.00 US Currency
As a result, Marquise Jackson, 46 was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession Of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute WID
- Manufacturing, Distributing, Dispensing, Possessing, Marijuana within 1,000ft of school.
- Possession of Firearm during Commission of a Crime (5cts)
- Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (2cts)
- Possession of a Saw-off Shot Gun or Rifle, Machine Gun, Silencer or Dangerous Weapon
- Possession of Drug related Objects
Jackson was transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
