3 family members arrested in disturbance over property

ALBANY, Ga. – On December 27, 2023, at approximately 2:02pm, officers responded to the 500 Block of Mitchell Avenue in reference to a family disturbance over property. The investigation revealed that Michael Holmes (55) and his brother, Dawane Holmes (59), were involved in an altercation where weapons were drawn. Contact was also made with Nicolas Holmes (32), who attacked his uncle, Michael Holmes, with a baton. Nicolas Holmes is the son of Dawane Holmes. All subjects were taken into custody.

Michael Holmes was charged with Pointing a Gun at Another.

Dawane Holmes was charged with Simple Assault.

Nicolas Holmes was charged with Simple Battery.

All parties were transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
