Modern Gas Company’s ‘Rib Showdown’ raises funds in support of The Junior League of Albany
LEESBURG, Ga. – Modern Gas Company raises funds in support of The Junior League of Albany, showcasing their commitment to making an impact beyond the realm of energy services.
Ushering in the season of giving, Modern Gas Company joyfully revealed the results of their 2023 ‘Rib Showdown’ competition held in October. The event generated a commendable total of $4,832 in proceeds, all dedicated to supporting the initiatives of The Junior League of Albany.
“We are so grateful to Modern Gas Company for our continued partnership and relationship. Over the last several years, they have been able to support us in so many ways. We use those funds to give right back to our community, we’re all volunteers, so all the money goes directly into the Albany community where it’s needed,” said Erin Monahan, Junior League of Albany, President.
Mark Holloway, Modern Gas CEO said, “We are thrilled that the ‘Rib Showdown’ successfully generated funds for The Junior League of Albany, GA for the third year in a row. The League does so much for women and children in our community and it makes us proud to support their efforts.”
“So, The Junior League of Albany, Georgia, is a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. So, it’s a group of ladies that come together and we work to help women and children in our community. We do that through creating events, community events and fundraisers. We raise funds and donate them to nonprofits in the community. So, for this year, we’re supporting open arms, as well as Children’s Miracle Network at Phoebe. Just recently we finished wrapping gifts for foster children there over 300 of them in our community, and we were able to rally together with the support of Modern Gas and our other sponsors to help make Christmas possible for these kids,” said Monahan.
