Q’s Cakery holds prayer vigil in Albany
ALBANY, Ga. – An Albany bakery is reaching out to those in need of comfort and support following a series of heartbreaking shootings, offering a welcoming invitation to individuals seeking solace during this challenging time.
The bakery, Q’s Cakes, plans to host a vigil outside of their establishment at 7 p.m. Friday evening.
Owner Quinetta Hall expressed her desire to offer the community a chance to pause, and a chance to pray, especially in light of the recent spike in tragic homicides throughout December.
During our meeting with her, Hall emphasized the importance of fostering a space for prayer and support amidst these challenging times.
“It’s very bleak and it touches my heart. Because, I think about the Coroner here, I think about the Chief of Police, to have to knock on those parents doors and say ‘I need you to identify your child’ I know that it’s taken a toll on them. So we have to keep them lifted with prayer behind the scenes, because they need all the prayer they can get,” said Quinetta Hall, Q’s Cakes, Owner.
The prayer vigil will take place outside of the Dawson Road business at 7 this evening at 2700 Dawson Road.
