Albany Technical College waives application fees throughout November

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College is making education more accessible, opening doors for students and fostering many opportunities, as they declare Free Application Month.

Albany Technical College will be waiving application fees for all prospective students submitting applications throughout the month of November. This effort aims to facilitate greater access to academic pursuits and underscores Albany Technical College’s dedication to fostering educational advancement within the community.

“We are currently waiving the application fee just to assist our area of individuals that may want to join Albany Technical College. We just want to eliminate any barriers that could be in the way. And with holidays coming up, we wanted to make that available. Especially with our spring semester that starts on January the 8th. We to make sure that anybody that wants to apply to Albany Tech, could go ahead and do it, and just make it available for everyone,” said Beth Davis, Interim VP of Student Affairs.

Albany Technical College is presently open for admissions for its spring and summer 2024 terms. The spring semester is scheduled to commence on January 8, 2024, followed by the summer semester launching on May 15, 2024.

Interim Vice President of Student Affairs, Beth Davis, elaborates further on the details of this initiative.

“It’s open for everyone, so anyone that wants to apply to Albany Technical College can go to our website albanytech.edu, click apply and complete an application for admissions. There is a governor’s initiative in place right now that called, The Georgia Match, and that allows high school students to select a college that they want to attend. So, that’s been made available and just in partnership with that, we’ve just opened it up to anyone else that wants to apply,” said Davis.

Albany Technical College proudly presents an extensive array of educational opportunities, featuring over 50 distinct programs of study across various fields. This diverse curriculum encompasses hundreds of degree, diploma, and certificate options, reflecting a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for students pursuing various career paths.
