Officials announce cause of Tuesday evening fire inside Albany Neighborhood Walmart
ALBANY, Ga. – On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out in the storage room of the Walmart located at 2586 North Slappey Boulevard.
Assistant Albany Fire Chief Marcus Glass informed us that the fire originated from a gas line igniting after an object fell on top of it.
Prompt response from the Albany Fire Department successfully contained the fire, preventing any injuries.
Currently, the store remains closed, awaiting a thorough inspection by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
