Chehaw Park & Zoo’s ‘Boo at the Zoo’ returns this weekend for Halloween
ALBANY, Ga. – Get ready for a spooktacular adventure at the Chehaw Park & Zoo, as they gear up to host their Halloween extravaganza, “Boo at the Zoo.”
Chehaw Park & Zoo are thrilled to announce the return of its ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event for this upcoming Halloween weekend. This exciting event is scheduled for this Saturday, October 28th, running from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
“‘Boo at the Zoo’ is probably one of our most popular events for the year. We’ll get hundreds of kids in costumes trick-or-treating around the loop. Not only is it a great day to get a bunch of candy in your Halloween bucket, we have a lot of games around the zoo. So, it’s a lot of fun to get outdoors, trick-or-treat, play some games, some fall festival fun, and it’s also a great time to learn about the animals we have here at zoo, as well as their cousins out in the wild,” said Morgan Burnette, Director, Chehaw Park & Zoo.
‘Boo at the Zoo’ offers a delightful, family-friendly, and safe Halloween experience. Admission is priced at $15 dollars for adults, and $10 for children, inclusive of both park and zoo entry. Attendees not only can look forward to a wide variety of Halloween-themed games and activities, but also engaging educational components to enrich children’s knowledge about wildlife.
Morgan Burnette, director of Chehaw Park & Zoo, provides insights into the unique Halloween animal enrichment.
“One of best things you can see when your here is the animal enrichment schedule throughout the day. So, almost every hour we have a different animal receiving stuffed pumpkins, or scented jack-o’-lanterns, and you get to see them interact in a way that you don’t normally get to when you visit the zoo. This is definitely an educational event, but it’s built as a fun event. So, people seem to have a lot more learning experiences when they are having fun. So, you’ll learn a little bit about what you can do to help animals in your backyard, as well as their cousins in the wild, and you’ll have a lot of fun doing it,” said Burnette.
