GBI arrests Bronwood man in Terrell Co. double homicide
BRONWOOD, Ga. – On Wednesday, a grave incident sent shockwaves through Bronwood, resulting in the arrest of 27-year-old Gary Milton Bailey III by the GBI and the Terrell County Sheriff’s Office.
Bailey faces multiple serious charges, including felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person, and aggravated animal cruelty. These charges are connected to a tragic shooting in Bronwood.
The fateful events unfolded on the early morning of October 18th, around 1:50 a.m. The Terrell County Sheriff’s Office sought the assistance of the GBI in the investigation after the discovery of the lifeless bodies of 68-year-old Gary Milton Bailey Senior, and 66-year-old Donna Sue Bailey, both residents of Bronwood. The victims had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, painting a distressing scene.
Currently, Bailey is in custody at the Terrell County Jail, awaiting legal proceedings. The investigation remains active and ongoing, with plans to transfer the case file to the Pataula Judicial Circuit for prosecution.
