Suspect named in Meadowlark Drive, Lake Park Elementary assault

ALBANY, Ga. – On Wednesday, Albany officers responded to a disturbance on Meadowlark Drive involving an assault.

The victim reported that during a dispute with her child’s father while waiting at Lake Park Elementary, a physical altercation occurred.

After the altercation was broken up, the victim left the school’s premises. As she approached a stop sign, the suspect, 44-year-old Reginald James Senior, fired a shot through her vehicle, striking her in the thigh. Three juveniles that were in the vehicle were unharmed.

James Senior fled the scene before the police arrived, and efforts to locate him at multiple locations were unsuccessful. Currently, he is not in custody, but he faces charges of 4 counts of aggravated assault and 3 counts of cruelty to children.
