Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: March 16, 2021

Today a Marginal Risk covers most of the area today. There is a low chance for isolated strong-severe thunderstorms with main threat gusty winds, small hail, and possibly an isolated tornado.
Tomorrow most of the day will be quiet. By Wednesday PM a Marginal Risk crosses the Flint River with a Slight Risk just past the GA/AL line as a squall line develops to our west.
A Weather Aware Day is in effect late Wednesday-all day Thursday!
Thursday – an Enhanced Risk includes the northern half of the area with a Slight Risk to the GA/FL line. Widespread severe weather is possible including tornadoes (one or two could be strong – EF 3 +), damaging winds, and large hail. Flash flooding is not expected.
Prepare now by making sure you know where your safe room is, and that you have multiple reliable ways to receive watches/warnings including a NOAA Weather Radio. Do not rely on outdoor warning sirens.
