Tifton Councilman Milton Hall Jr. seeks re-election
TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton Councilman Milton Hall Jr. has decided that there is still work that he needs to get done in Tifton as he seeks re-election for his District 4 seat.
“There’s more work to be done and I want to be apart of that,” said Milton Hall Jr., Tifton Councilman.
With Hall being the youngest member of the Tifton City Council, a new perspective has been introduced in Tifton.
“To have a younger representation just allows to have somewhat of youthfulness of ideas that maybe come through and things that I have experienced in my era might be different from there era,” he said.
According to an article written by the Tifton Gazette newspaper, the homeless population in Tifton grew last year, Hall plans to change that.
“I want to make sure the homeless are served in an appropriate manner, but also Tifton is taken care of as far as making sure are streets are nice and safe and clean,” he said.
District 4 in Tifton is home to a lot of Tifton’s history.
“We hold a lot of great things in the district like Fulwood Park, there’s a lot of historic homes here and business,” he said.
Councilman Milton Hall Jr. tells me that urban redevelopment is another of his main emphasis if re-elected.
“We’re working on some new housing projects that we would like to come along. I’m also a part of Urban Redevelopment Agency and we’re looking to do some more things on South Park,” he said.
Hall believes dedication to citizen needs is what will push Tifton forward.
“I know government isn’t as fast as some people may like it, but just know that, I’m always there and willing to work for my constituents,” he said.
Early voting begins October 16th.
