Called to Care changing the lives of children in need

TIFTON, Ga. – The Called to Care organization in Tifton, Georgia is changing the lives of children who are in need.

“I just felt this calling from the lord that there was this vulnerable population of children and that someone needed to serve them,” said Laura Maxwell, Called to Care, founder.

Called to Care has kept many children clothed and fed thanks to the generosity of the community.

“What you see here in this room are from drives that are done by business and churches, so they may do a shoe drive, or toiletry drive and they keep our shelves stocked,” she said.

The organizations works day in and day out to go the extra mile.

“You may be 16 and need new air pods that’s a need when you’re 16. So, we get that kid what they need and want and that allows us to start building relationships,” she said.

Founder Laura Maxwell says that anyone could help a child in need.

“If there’s not something like this in your community I would love to talk to you about how you could do something,” she said.

Because, just lending a hand could change a child’s life forever.
