CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: June 9, 2023

Better rain chances!

Hazy skies last for the weekend, but there will be slightly better rain chances especially on Sunday as a stationary front to our south lifts back north. Temperatures will be seasonably hot in the low 90s with rain and thunderstorms becoming likely Sunday and again on Monday. Drier air works in for Tuesday. While it turns hotter by midweek, the good rain chances will linger to keep the heat from getting too out of hand although it will be muggy. The pattern late next week will setup for “ridge riders” or complexes of thunderstorms to move in from the north by Thursday and next Friday.
