Ocilla PD and GBI investigating Wednesday shooting

OCILLA, Ga. – According to a press release by the Ocilla Police Department, on Wednesday, June 7th, at 6:15 P.M. officers with the Ocilla Police Department were dispatched to a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival in the 400 block of North Roosevelt Street, officers located the gunshot victim in the yard unresponsive.
Irwin County Emergency Medical Services arrived and found the victim had passed away.
The Ocilla Police Department contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation who is responding to the scene.
