CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: May 31, 2023

Watching the tropics!

There have been a few rain showers around the area on this Wednesday. Still a slight chance tomorrow, but we’ll mainly just see cloudy skies with some breaks in the cloud cover later in the day. Thursday, June 1 is also the first day of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season. We’re still watching a weak disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s expected to meander there a few days before it crosses the FL peninsula. The main impact for us continues to be breezy conditions from gradient winds tied to the low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north along with the cloudy skies and chance of showers. Warming up this weekend, but still near average in the upper 80s-around 90. Drier & even hotter next week in the lower 90s.
