APD makes arrest in shooting incident

JansQuincey Donaldson, 44 years-old was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault. Additional charges are pending.

ALBANY, Ga. – On April 29, 2023, officers responded to 310 Cordele RD (Pilot Travel Center) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male victim inside a vehicle, who was shot in the chest. The occupants of the vehicle advised police that the incident occurred at the intersection of W Broad Ave/ N Washington St.

Shortly after the victim was transported for medical treatment, officers encountered the suspect, JansQuincey Donaldson (44). He was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault. Additional charges are pending.
