Douglas armed robbery suspect identified as Qwinntavus Jordan

DOUGLAS, Ga. – On April 27th, the Criminal Investigations Unit of Douglas acquired video footage from several businesses near the parking lot of 831 South Peterson Avenue, after law enforcement responded to the area in reference to an armed robbery.
The suspect in the footage was identified as Qwinntavus Jordan and law enforcement acquired warrants for his arrest for armed robbery, 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.
On April 28th, the department was notified that Jordan had committed multiple felony acts in several other jurisdictions and he was apprehended after being shot during an attempted robbery in Kingsland, Georgia.
Jordan is currently hospitalized due to his injuries. If released from the hospital, he will be immediately taken into custody to face his charges.
