Heavy rainfall and strong storms possible next week

Weekend looks not all that bad with only a slight chance for isolated to widely scattered showers Saturday. Temperatures will be seasonal, but possibly slightly below average cool start to Sunday.  Clouds thicken on Monday followed by increasing rain chances by Tuesday. Rain and thunderstorms become likely on Wednesday with the possibility of heavy rainfall and even strong to severe thunderstorms. Up to 3″ of rainfall is possible through the period. Temperatures will be muggy in the mornings in the upper 50’s-low 60’s followed by 70’s in the afternoons. Scattered rain chances hold for the rest of next week.
