Omega accident leaves part of city without power Sunday afternoon
No word on the condition of the individual who was transported to the hospital.
OMEGA, Ga. – On Sunday afternoon our Matthew Crumley came upon the scene of an accident on U.S. Highway 319 near Ponder Park and the clubhouse in Omega.
Power was knocked out to a part of downtown Omega following the accident.
Powerlines blocked the roadway temporarily closing both lanes of U.S. Highway 319 between Powell Road and Omega-Ellenton Road.
Traffic had to be detoured for a few hours by the Omega Police Department.
The occupant of the vehicle was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center to be checked out.
Georgia Power worked to restore power by 5 pm.
No word on the condition of the individual who was transported to the hospital.
