Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: December 23, 2022
Happy Friday! The arctic air is here!
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is effective from 4 am today through 1 pm Christmas Eve afternoon.
A HARD FREEZE WARNING is effective from 6 pm tonight through 11 am Christmas Day morning.
Temperatures plummet overnight into the mid-upper teens and wind chill values between 0°-15° Christmas Eve morning.
It’ll be the coldest Christmas in years for SWGA! Not since the late 1980’s has it been this cold.
Make preparations now for the dangerously cold weather!
The good news is that the dangerously cold readings will only last a day or two, but a hard freeze is still expected for the day after Christmas, and sub-freezing temperatures Tuesday morning before a gradual warm-up ensues heading towards New Year’s.
