80th annual Central Georgia Fair sponsored by Cordele Lions Club

CORDELE, Ga. – Moving to Crisp County, the 80th annual Central Georgia Fair kicks off tonight.

The event is being put on by the Cordele Lions Club to help raise funds for the community.

There will be plenty of rides and food for everyone to enjoy.

The Crisp County Middle School Band will also perform tonight at 7.

The gates open at 6 p.m. and entry is $20.

“We’ve got rides, games. It’s some great food. You know, everybody’s always here for cotton candy and candy apples. Just a lot of good things. The Crisp County Middle School Band will be here performing. Crisp County High School Band will be here performing. We’ll have a DJ on site playing music for everybody to listen to and enjoy. Saturday night we’ve got a live music performance that will be here. Just a lot of great things. And, a great atmosphere to come enjoy. This is our largest fundraiser. This is how we help the community. And, it gives us some of the funding and gives us the ability to put back into the community, helping with eye sight for those outside options, for those who can’t afford it and don’t have insurance for it. It’s just how we put it back,” said Michael Fraser, Chairman, Cordele Lions Club.

The Central Georgia Fair is located at the Cordele Lions Club fairgrounds.
