3-year-old child found wandering from South Westover daycare

ALBANY, Ga. – We start today with a concerning turn of events, a 3-year-old child was discovered wandering alone on Westover on March 22nd.

Preliminary investigation suggests that, around noon. The child strayed from a daycare the Graceland Institute of Early Learning.

Fortunately, two motorists in the vicinity noticed the child walking north on Westover, approximately 150 yards from the daycare. They then alerted a Georgia State Patrol Trooper, who then contacted local law enforcement. Thankfully, the child was found unharmed.

The incident is currently under investigation, and charges are pending against all involved parties. We are actively seeking further information and will provide updates as they become available.

“We are grateful for the swift actions of the individuals who spotted the child and for the collaboration with law enforcement agencies to ensure his safe return,” said Sgt. JC Phillips, Dougherty County Police Department.
