3 Tifton residents charged in alcohol infant intoxication

TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton police have arrested three residents and charged them in connection with the alcohol intoxication of an infant.

25-year-old Miranda Anderson, 34-year-old Creston Wright, and 28-year-old Kalimbria McCollough are all charged with cruelty to children in the second degree, and with felonies in giving false statements and writings.

On April 21, Tift Regional Medical Center notified police that Anderson brought her five-month-old child who had tested for a high level of alcohol.

The Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) immediately took the child into custody and both DFCS and Tifton Police Department began the investigation.

The investigation is still active.
