3 suspects arrested in Willard Ave. shooting that left 1 dead, 2 injured
ALBANY, Ga. – Around 4:30 p.m. on December 6th, Albany law enforcement officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Willard Avenue.
22-year-old Keyunte Treshawn Stephens was found dead at the scene. 44-year-old Germaine Stephens and 19-year-old Zenobia Tucker sustained severe injuries, and were promptly taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Following the incident, officers apprehended 20-year-old Tray’Veon Day’Shawn Westbrook and 20-year-old Tyshaundre Jaquez Jackson, after they abandoned a vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. The two individuals were captured after a brief pursuit.
Both Westbrook and Jackson was transported to the Dougherty County Jail on charges of murder and 2 counts of aggravated assault each.
Additionally, 35-year-old Basharia Lena Tucker was taken into custody and transported to the Dougherty County Jail on a charge of tampering with evidence.
