2 teens arrested in connection to death of man in Valdosta
VALDOSTA, Ga. – At approximately 8:23 pm Monday, Valdosta Police officers responded to a shooting incident at the Circle K located at 425 Northside Drive.
After a 911 call they discovered 30-year-old Kyle Thomas Walker with a gunshot wound to the head and provided immediate aid before he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 19-year-old Sharod Tucker and 17-year-old Keyuntay Washington are deemed suspects.
Detectives located Tucker and Washington at a residence the following day. Tucker attempted to flee but was apprehended after dropping a bag containing a stolen firearm. Washington was also arrested at the scene. During a search of the residence, property belonging to the victim was found.
Both suspects were taken to Lowndes County Jail, facing multiple felony charges.
The case remains under investigation, and further charges may follow.
