2 arrested in Albany apartment double homicide

ALBANY, Ga. – An arrest has been made in connection to the Woodlands Apartments homicide investigation in Albany.

Monday, law enforcement officials obtained a search warrant for a resident in the 3700 block of Old Dawson Road, suspecting the involvement of 16-year-old Wy’Travion Buchanan in the case.

Two individuals were taken to the law enforcement center for questioning during the search. It was determined that Wy’Travion Buchanan was involved in the murder.

Buchanan was apprehended and charged with two counts of murder. He was then transported to the Dougherty County Jail.

Officers were also informed that another suspect wanted for questioning, Taverance Jackson, had been arrested in Orange County, Florida, on murder warrants connected to this investigation.
