18th Annual Combos® Marathon and Half Marathon seeking volunteers

February 15, 2024
Matthew Crumley,

ALBANY, Ga. – Volunteers are needed for the 18th Annual Albany Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Volunteers can sign up the Albany Welcome Center or by emailing Katie Jenkins at kjenkins@visitalbanyga.com. Descriptions of what is entailed for each position are provided on the volunteer forms. Responsibilities are available until spots are filled.

Road Marshals are especially needed at strategic intersections throughout the city to guide runners along the route, prevent traffic turning into the course, and to be cheerleaders, creating energy and enthusiasm for those working to achieve their personal best.

“Each year, the Combos® Marathon is commended on our volunteers” said Rashelle Minix, Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director and Race Director of the Albany Marathon. “This race shows off the spirit of Albany’s people and could not be successful without all the community support.”

Volunteering with the Combos® Marathon is a great opportunity for school groups, church groups, families and other organizations to get involved with one of the community’s largest events. Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt, Combos® and a free entry into the Downtown Street Festival.

For more information about volunteering with the Combos® Marathon email Katie Jenkins at kjenkins@visitalbanyga.com or call 229-317-4760.
