1 juvenile dead, 4 injured after overnight shooting in 1700 block of West Broad Avenue

ALBANY, Ga. – On December 23, 2025, around 11:48 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of W. Broad Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male deceased at the scene. Officers also located four additional juvenile victims suffering from gunshot wounds, including one 17-year-old male, one 15-year-old male, one 16-year-old male, and one 16-year-old female.

Four victims were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. Two victims were later transported to a medical facility in Macon where they remain in surgery, including one victim being treated for internal injuries. Two additional victims were treated at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and have since been released.
