1 dead, 1 injured in plane crash in Fitzgerald

FITZGERALD, Ga. – At 5:00 pm this afternoon a single-engine plane crashed in Fitzgerald in the 800 Block of East Suwanee Street near the Monitor Drive intersection.

According to the Fitzgerald Police Department, 1 person is confirmed dead and another person is in stable condition after being flown to a Tallahassee hospital.

The Fitzgerald Police Department is awaiting more details upon the completion of an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
