Worth deadly school bus accident
Students reported with minor injuries but two killed in 5 car, fog shrouded crash

SYLVESTER, GA – Worth County deputies and the Georgia State Patrol are on the scene of a fatal multi-vehicle accident involving a school bus in Worth County.
Troopers say they were dispatched just before 7:20 this morning on Jewel Crowe Road.
The GSP says the roadway is blocked and there is limited visibility due to heavy fog.
Troopers are still on scene investigating the crash.
Initial reports from the scene suggest two people may have died in the 5 vehicle crash, but Troopers have yet to confirm those accounts.
Worth County Schools are now updating the situation with the following statement from Nehemiah Cummings.
“One of our school buses was involved in a multi-car accident this morning. A vehicle from a separate collision deflected into our bus. Fortunately, our students and the driver are doing well, with only a few students reporting minor injuries. All students were treated at the scene and have been reunited with family.
South Georgia Television News has a crew own the scene and will update the story as details become available.
