Worth County Sheriff announces new charges against kidnapping suspect
(SYLVETSER, GA) – Still no word on the re-capture of kidnap suspect turned fugitive, Tristian Brown, who at last report, is still running amok across the Albany area, after escaping Phoebe Main for a gunshot wound he suffered in his capture Sunday night in Worth County.
Now, more charges compliments of Worth County Sheriff, Don Whitaker.
Sheriff Whitaker says that in addition to the charges that Brown is facing out of Albany, he’s facing another slew of charges here in Worth County.
He told us Thursday, “As of this morning, there was nine warrants, plus a parole-warn issue on Mr Brown.”
The charges that brown is facing out of Worth County covers a larger range of offenses including…
“…Theft by Taking, Possession of a Firearm during a Crime, Hijacking by Motor Vehicle, three counts of Aggravated Assault…,” says Sheriff Whitaker.
After Tristian Brown was discharged from Phoebe Putney Hospital, Sheriff Whitaker says that Brown is considered dangerous.
He says, “We know Monday morning that he had a gun, he shared an exchange of gunfire with another man out on Massey Airport Road, so i would consider him extremely dangerous.”
While Brown is still at large this time in South Georgia, Sheriff Whitaker is asking for the community’s help, regardless of where he might be.
“Anybody in Dougherty County, anybody in Worth County, any county, any surrounding counties, if you see this man, contact your local authorities, Albany Police Department or Worth County Sheriff’s Office, any of us will respond,” says Whitaker.
