Worth County High School wraps up 2nd annual youth basketball camp

SYLVESTER, GA – The second annual youth basketball camp at Worth County was another huge success.

The camp saw roughly 60 boys and girls from five to seventeen working with Rams coaches and players on different drills: dribbling, footwork, shooting and defense.

There were also different contests going on which saw athletes compete in free throw challenges and 3-point competitions, where the winners were awarded with trophies.

It was a fun few days for the young athletes, and Rams head coach Paul Williams said he loves moments like this where he and his players can help grow the community in any way.

“It’s the most fun I have all summer,” Williams said. “Just to see the kids and the excitement in their eyes [makes it great].”
