Worth County Animal Shelter Crippled by Overcrowding

SYLVESTER, Ga.- Overcrowding at Best Friends Humane Society in Worth County is overwhelming staff and the abandoned animals who call it home. A low adoption rate and frequent, unexpected drop-offs of unwanted pets, challenge the limited resources provided by the shelter. Shelter manager, Raegan Curles says, “it’s not a pet problem, but a people problem,”
