Wings & Things Festival and Fly-In returns Saturday in Douglas

DOUGLAS, Ga. – A popular community event combining aviation, history, and family fun is returning to Douglas this weekend. The Wings & Things Festival and Fly-In is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douglas Municipal Airport.

Hosted by Visit Douglas-Coffee County GA and the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce, the annual festival brings together aviation enthusiasts, history buffs, and families for a full day of activities.

Visitors will be able to see warbirds and World War II-era aircraft on display, along with antique military vehicles and aviation exhibits. The event will also feature a car show, live music, and a hot wing cook-off. Organizers say the festival has grown each year and welcomed more than 5,000 attendees during last year’s event.

Families attending can also explore an arts and crafts market, food trucks, and a dedicated kids’ zone. For those looking for a more hands-on experience, paid helicopter rides and discovery flights will be available, offering guests the chance to take to the skies.

Admission to the festival is free, and organizers encourage families to come out and enjoy a day filled with aviation history, food, entertainment, and community fun. For more information, call 912-384-1873.
