Warrants issued in Albany assault case

ALBANY, Ga. – Police were called to 601 South McKinley in response to a verbal. An un-named individual was arguing with his girlfriend, when things took a violent turn.
An onlooker, 54, and a 13 year old child stood by, the unnamed individual brandished a weapon. The girlfriend was shot in the back of the head. The unknown subject was said to have fired again, hitting the onlookerin the arm. The girlfriendstated she was injured when she fell to the ground during the incident. The injured parties were transported to Phoebe Main via personal vehicles.
After further investigation into the matter, a warrant has been issued for Cedric Thomas, 32. The warrants are for two counts Aggravated Assault and one count of Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree. As of publish time, Thomas was still at large.
