Volunteer group to distribute food on July 14th
(ALBANY, GA) – A local organization working with the Dougherty County School System is helping make sure families don’t go without meals.
The Dougherty County chapter of Helping Hands End Hunger will be giving out food at the Hope Center on Pine Avenue Tuesday morning to families in the county.
“We’ve received some grants that are allowing us to buy the food from our local food banks and be able to provide them to the families of the helping hands students,” says Dougherty County Chapter Executive Director, Cathy Revell.
Distribution will take place on Tuesday, July 14th starting at 8 A.M, at the Hope Center at the Old Coca Cola plant on Pine Avenue. Food will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis.
